LUNA by VONDOM: rounded shapes, light and garden living

Lounge furniture, a daybed, planters and lamps tell a connected garden story. LUNA places soft contours beside clean-lined architecture.

A family of soft contours

LUNA is a collection designed by Ramón Esteve for VONDOM. The supplied document dates it to 2024 and lists polyethylene, polyurethane and fabrics. Its design draws on the experimental language of the mid-twentieth century, including Verner Panton and Joe Colombo. In the garden setting, these references appear as broad curves, soft transitions and clearly recognisable volumes. The images show more than a seating group: furniture, planters and lamps work together. This gives you a way to connect several outdoor areas. A shared outline can link the place beside the home with the garden path without repeating the same piece everywhere. Alongside a straight glass or container façade, the rounded forms create an appealing and welcoming contrast.

Connect the lounge with the home

Beside the timber home, the sofa, armchair and low table establish an inviting centre. Pale upholstery catches the daylight, while the rounded base contrasts with the straight terrace. For a similar setting, first identify the door you will use and the view you want to enjoy while seated. The armchair can turn towards the centre of conversation while the sofa forms a quieter boundary. The close views reveal how much space the outer frame occupies compared with the upholstered seat. Include both in your layout. A clear route between the living room and garden makes the arrangement easy to use. Consider the view from indoors as well: a thoughtfully oriented lounge can make the terrace inviting from the living room.

A daybed as a separate garden retreat

The broad daybed occupies its own platform and feels like a small relaxation island. The overhead view makes the rounded surface particularly clear. This kind of setting can complement a conversation group, but it needs a considered position. Think about shade through the day, comfortable access to the resting surface and the route back to the house. The expansive presentation is inspiration rather than a scale reference for your property. In a smaller garden, choosing between a large lounge and an additional daybed may be sensible. Check the actual dimensions of the specification you want. A quiet edge looking into planting will often express the idea better than a crowded position in the middle of the terrace.

Lamps establish a rhythm along the path

The evening images show rounded light objects among plants and beside stepping stones. Several small accents replace one dominant source of light. This rhythm can connect the garden with the seating area visually. Assess paths, places to sit and sensitive viewing directions separately when planning lighting. A decorative lamp does not need to illuminate the entire space. Actual brightness, power supply and suitability for the chosen location depend on the precise lamp specification and require technical checking. Position objects so they do not obstruct walking routes. The warm-looking images communicate an atmosphere but do not replace a lighting calculation. A few carefully placed accents may be enough to reveal the outlines of planting in the evening.

Planters accompany the architecture

The three planters beside the glass façade repeat the collection's rounded lines. Their different shapes bring movement to the group while keeping the colour scheme restrained. Choose plants together with the location: light, wind and access for maintenance matter more than appearance alone. Check planter dimensions, drainage and the load capacity of the supporting surface, especially on raised terraces. A small group can mark an entrance or separate the lounge from the rest of the garden. Keep planting from completely blocking views or circulation. The overhead image helps compare the vessel outlines and shows why planting objects also deserve careful positioning in the floor plan.

Make a selection for day and evening

For LUNA, consider seating, light and planting in one plan. Save your preferred views and note which areas will be used during the day and in the evening. The manufacturer page lets you compare the current furniture, lamps and planters. Confirm dimensions, fabrics, lighting specifications and care for the exact versions. Include cushion storage and clear circulation space. Your garden does not need every piece in the collection: one thoughtfully chosen focal point with a few coordinated additions can tell a convincing outdoor story.
