POSIDONIA by VONDOM: architectural outdoor furniture

Straight profiles, calm upholstery and a shared design language for lounging, dining, sun loungers and lighting.

From an architectural idea to an outdoor setting

POSIDONIA by Ramón Esteve brings a clear architectural order to the garden. The supplied document describes the collection as the development of a design that originated within a specific residential project on Ibiza. VONDOM took on the furniture family under the POSIDONIA name in 2022. For a contemporary outdoor setting, its calm form is particularly relevant: straight profiles, clearly readable frames and cushions that give the angular structure a welcoming character. The image series shows this approach extending from a single chair to a large poolside terrace. The aim is a consistent relationship between furniture and architecture. Your own terrace does not need a Mediterranean backdrop. Beside a straight-lined container façade, the collection can connect the interior, outdoor floor area and garden in an equally ordered way.

A shared frame for different activities

The selected images connect several different uses. A sofa and chairs form a lounge, a table and dining chairs create a place to eat, and sun loungers provide somewhere to rest. Related geometry makes these zones feel connected. Nevertheless, plan each area around its purpose: dining needs accessible seats, lounging benefits from a comfortable conversation arrangement, and loungers need clear space for getting up. On a small terrace, set a clear priority. If you mainly eat outside, make sure the dining area works first. If relaxation is more important, begin with a lounge or lounger. The extensive image series is a selection aid rather than a reason to install as much furniture as possible. Open floor area contributes to the quality of an outdoor setting as well.

Loungers and circulation beside a pool

The lounger images show raised backrests, straight bases and prominent round wheels. Close-up views help you examine these elements, while the wider terrace view shows their spatial effect. A dedicated lounger area should sit outside circulation routes. Consider the movement of the sun, shade and access to the water if you have a pool. Before choosing, check the exact dimensions in the positions you expect to use. A small side table can hold drinks or a book without becoming an obstacle. In the images, pale finishes sit naturally alongside sand-coloured paving. For your own terrace, this raises a useful design question: should the loungers stand out deliberately, or should they blend quietly into the overall composition?

Lighting carries the design into the evening

Alongside the seating, the image series includes glowing cuboids at several heights. The current manufacturer collection also lists lamps. In the evening views, these clear volumes mark places along the terrace and garden path while leaving the architecture in the background. For your own plan, the effect of the light matters more than the number of light sources. Decide where you need orientation and where you want a calmer atmosphere. A decorative lamp does not automatically provide the lighting needed for steps or pathways. Electrical specification, connection and intended application belong to the individual product selection. The images make the atmosphere easy to understand: warm points of light, a clearly defined seating area and an outdoor space that remains inviting after sunset.

Choose materials and colours deliberately

The supplied document lists aluminium, HPL and polyurethane. These describe the material range of the collection rather than every component of every piece shown. Ask for the current product sheet and suitable samples for your selected furniture. Frames, tables and paving look closely coordinated in the images. This calm relationship can hold a large terrace together visually. Beside timber cladding, you might repeat a warm tone; against a white wall, a clearer contrast could be appealing. Compare the furniture backs and views from inside the home as well as the front. A sheltered place for cushions and suitable cleaning methods for the different surfaces also belong in the plan, helping the chosen arrangement work comfortably in everyday use.

Prepare your POSIDONIA selection

Record which areas your terrace genuinely needs. Save your favourite images, sketch the usable floor space and add the number of seats you regularly require. Decide whether furniture and lighting should be selected together or in several stages. The manufacturer link leads to the current POSIDONIA family and its specific versions, where you can check dimensions, finishes, textiles, care and purchasing routes. A coordinated selection does not have to be large: a suitable dining area or a well-arranged lounge can already change how the outdoor space feels. The images help you choose that first step deliberately and keep the remaining area available for planting, movement and possible future additions.
